All Praise to Allāh, the one who by His blessing righteous actions are performed
O my siblings of hifz, May Allāh allow you to achieve your goals and bless you in your endeavors. I pray that you are granted the divine ability to complete your hifz with ease and retain it forever.
Imām Ibn al-Jazari’s- rahimahullāh praise for the Qur’ān bearer: And let him (the reciter of the Qur’ān) never tire of its recitation. [Muqaddimah of ‘Tayyibat al-Nashr]
Studies have proven that memorizing the Qur’ān and reciting it constantly is a means to preserve a persons intelligence. A cure for Alzheimer’s.
Reciting the Qur’ān is an honour that Allāh gave to man only.
Shaykh Ibn Taymiyyah- rahimahullāh said: I have not seen anything which feeds the intellect and soul, protects the body and guarantees happiness more than the constant looking at the book of Allāh
A man once asked one of the salaf : How much should we read from the Qur’ān. He replied : This depends on how much of happiness you want.
O my dear siblings of hifz, I advise you to wake up from your sleep and attach yourselves to Qur’ān for you will find bārakah in your life.
Whoever has not started hifz of the Qur’ān, should begin today. Whoever does not keep up to revision of hifz should start to take care of it. Whoever does not recite a part of the Qur’ān daily should start this today, stay away from all that waste your time with no benefit and be steadfast O my dear siblings of hifz because hifz of Qur’ān and taking care of reciting it has a taste, that will make you forget all the struggle that come along with it.
O honored sisters, I advise you to take care of your time and to have a disciplined life in terms of especially what you consume(food) This will help in not only memorizing your Qur’ān but also in getting fulfilling other responsibilities without getting too tired. Ask Allāh to put bārakah in your time for if you have barakah in your time, you’ll find that you can get so much done within a very short time.
Remember O my dear siblings of hifz, that the journey of hifz is continuous process and the feeling of every single day is amazing. We know that If we have something precious we give it to someone special to safeguard it. So Allāh chooses those whom He wants to safeguard His words.
SO DONT GIVE UP,
DONT GIVE UP,
And DONT GIVE UP.
Even if you are memorizing 1 or 2 lines a day, one day you will finish. Have a fixed schedule, where you have a specific time you know you will be free and dedicate that time to your Qur’ān and choose a righteous friends who you can compete’ with in memorizing the Qur’ān and this will keep you motivated and you will push yourself to lengths you’d have never imagined before!
Oh Allāh we ask you that you keep our hearts firm in memorizing your book and that you bless us to recite it and to ponder over its meanings in a way that pleases you and that we are able to practice upon it.
